Kettavan Silambarasan is all set to sing in the movie Theeyavan starring debutants Udhay and Sriranjan in the lead role. Sriranjan is the son of the of the producer of the movie.
Silambarasan will sing for a song under the music composition of music director L.V. Ganesh, son of famous musician L. Vaidyanathan. Ganesh and Simbu are childhood friends and the young actor could not turn down the request from the music director to sing in Theeyavan.
Theeyavan is based on an anti-hero subject and Sriranjan’s dad who is a buisnessman turned producer of this movie under the banner of Eswar Creations only to pave the way for the entry of his son into the film industry.
Theeyavan is being directed by Kadhir, who has directed several ad films. Radharavi and Nizhalgal Ravi are said to play supporting roles in the movie.

South indian Actress Vindhya “Rape case cannot be withdrawn” says court
Actress Vindhya, 27 one of the most talented actress of the Kollywood Industry claimed in 2003 that, when she was shooting in Hosur, film producer Vijay Kamalraj attempted to rape her, when she was staying in Hotel Sivarajani, Hosur.
She blamed the Hosur police for not accepting her complaint and blamed the hotel management for not supporting her as they remained just spectators.
Vindhya to marry Bhanupriya’s brother
After several years now, It is believed that Kamal paid her about Rs 700,000 to settle this issue. So she approached Chennai High Court to drop the case as she want to go on compromise.
But the court did not accept this, as this case is not a remuneration matter, but a sexual assault and attempt to Rape case.
Meanwhile Actress Vindhya is all set to marry yesteryear actress Bhanupriya’s brother Gopalakrishnan, fondly known as Gopi. The wedding is to take place on February 16 in Guruvayur.

Actors Vadivelu`s fan list expands
Looks like commedian Vadivelu is expanding in leaps and bounds, not only in Kollywood but now in Bollywood too. The new addition to the list is actor Amir Khan. Aamir Khan has shared this information to Murugadas, who directs his Gajini in Hindi.
Vadivelu said about this during the press meet organised on January 28. Even though Amir does not know Tamil, it has not prevented him from enjoying and relaxing with the amazing facial expressions of Vadivelu during his break times.
In an interview that Shirya Saran had given post her special song in Indiralogathil Na Azhagappan, the actress had said that though she is not good in understanding Tamil, she always enjoys commedian Vadivelu’s jokes and he is her favourite actor. She could not missup on dancing with her favourite and also show her classical dancing skills.

Can Vadivel change the superstar ratings in Kollywood with the release of his Indiralokathil Na Azhagappan (INA) on February 1?
The Kollywood definition of a superstar is- He should be able to take a fantastic opening irrespective of how good or bad the film turns out to be, his fans should be able to sustain the film for atleast a week (now even opening weekend would do). The idea is that the common man on the street should be willing to spend their hard earned money to buy a ticket, just to watch their favourite hero!
At the moment there is only one real superstar, who has all the above qualifications and even a child will tell you that it is Rajnikanth! The others who have been given superstar titles purely on the strength of their openings and fan base are (in alphabetic order)- Ajit, Kamal Hassan, Surya, Vijay and Vikram.
There are others also who had great openings but has not reached the superstar stature, due to various reasons. Now a new guy called Vadivel is threatening to enter the club, though others in this elite club do not want him to be given membership! Vadivel feels that certain vested interests are working behind his back to see that his solo hero films do not run!
According to sources close to Vadivel, there was a conspiracy against his INA to see that it does not release for Pongal. He would like to forget it as a bad dream and go ahead and prove himself at the Tamilnadu box-office. If INA takes a super opening in Tamilnadu, it will ring alarm bells for those opposed to Vadivel's rise. They dismiss Vadivel's last solo hero film Imsai Arasan 23am Pulikesi as a fluke super hit!
INA is releasing big in nearly 200 screens in Tamilnadu and overseas where the comedy king has become very popular. Vadivel supporters are sure that INA will not only take a super opening, but will also be a hit which will ensure that he continues to do solo hero films, at least one or two a year like other "superstars"!

Bollywood babes filling their pockets for a new-year performance
New Year’s eve happens to be a big time event for everyone- for the urban crowd who gets to do some hip-shaking with the view of his or hers favorite Bollywood star’s performance and for the Bollywood babes who pocket in a lucrative sum for a few minutes performance. Take a look at this:
Dusky beauty Bipasha Basu (who is making a new year performance for the first time this year) is reportedly charging Rs. 90 Lakhs for her performance at J.W.Mariott, Juhu.
The Drama Queen Rakhi Sawant alongwith her boyfriend, Abhishek Awasthi, and DJ Whosane will also be performing on New Year’s Eve at Tulip Star Hotel, Juhu. Rakhi is reported to have charged the organizers a whopping Rs. 51 lakhs for her performance.
Next in the queue are Koena Mitra and Tanushree Dutta, who will be joined along with the songster Mika in Sahara Star, Mumbai. Koena is supposedly charging the organizers Rs 27 lakhs for her 16 minute performance whereas Tanushree Dutta has been signed for Rs 15 lakhs for her 24 minutes performance.

Amrita Arora (performing in Bangalore) is charging 12 lakhs, Malaika Arora (performing in Delhi) is charging 25-30 lakhs, Neha Dhupia (performing in Ahmedabad) is charging 15-20 lakhs, and Mahima Choudhary (performing in Kolkatta) is charging 5 lakhs.
With the start being this, the year will definitely bring further surprises for these Bollywood bombshells!

Priyamani next movie
Actress Priyamani who is struggling to get rid of the village girl image that stuck to her from Paruthiveeran is now entangled in a war of words with Paruthi Veeran’s director Ameer.
The director reportedly commented that Priyamani was his choice of heroine for the film Yogi. The director allegedly said that the actress does not have her priorities right and her daring comments about kissing on screen and her recent attempts to project herself as a glamorous actress made him reconsider his decision.
Asked about this, Priyamani criticized Ameer saying she wasn’t even paid for the film Paruthi Veeran. It is her opinion that someone who is so self centered certainly did not have the right to advise her about the career choices that she is making.
