Bollywood actress Shilpa Shetty, who was last seen in 'Mr. Romeo' in Tamil opposite Prabhu deva, would make a comeback to Kollywood. She is now a hot property not just for Mumbai, but across the globe as she had won accolades after winning a reality show in London sometime back.
The latest buzz doing rounds is that the actress has been approached to do an item number in director Charan's 'Modhi Vilayadu'.
The movie features Vinay and Kajal Agarwal in the lead roles. Colonial Cousins - Hariharan and Leslie Lewis is composing the music. Shilpa has sought a hefty fee for which the producer has reportedly agreed. The sleek belle is back to kindle the youth of South.

Asin has now moved to Mumbai divas in Bollywood
Having stormed Telugu and Tamil cinema Asin has now moved to Mumbai conquer the Hindi belt.And if the growing buzz is to be believed, after Hema Malini, Rekha and Sridevi, Asin Thottumkal is poised to be the next Bollywood diva from the South.
Tell her this, and Asin laughs in delight and embarrassment. "I admire the names you've mentioned. I'm a long way from getting anywhere near them. I thought I was fairly unknown in Mumbai. I guess I'm lucky. But yes I feel hugely welcome in Mumbai. I don't know why filmmakers are showing so much interest in me. I guess they must've seen my work in Tamil and Telugu.
Spirited spunky and beautiful Asin (pronounced Ah-sin) has a better sense of humour than most of the screen divas in Bollywood.
"Thanks for pronouncing my name correctly. Most people tend to give it an Islamic spin. 'Asin' is coined from Sanskrit and English. It means 'sinless' like 'Amala'….without blemish. I hope I live up to my name in Mumbai."
For now Mumbai is home. "I'm in Mumbai now. I thought that was the practical thing to do. But only because my immediate commitments are in Mumbai. I'm the brand ambassador for six multi-national companies and the ads need to be shot in Mumbai. Now there're the Hindi films."
Luckily Asin speaks Hindi without an accent. "I can manage it quite well. And I don't have a thick South Indian accent. In these days of globalization I don't think language is a barrier. And I'm only looking for good roles regardless of the language. I'm interested in films in Tamil, Telugu, Hindi and any other language as long as the projects are exciting. I look at the script, then the role, director, banner and finally my co- star."
Since she has moved to Mumbai there're rumours in the South that she's giving up on South Indian cinema. "That's completely untrue. Whatever I'm today is because of Tamil and Telegu cinema. Why am I expected to choose between Mumbai and the South?"
Asin is equally popular in Tamil and Telugu cinema. "I speak both languages fluently and do all my dubbing myself. I've never used a dubbing artiste for any of my films, not even for the Hindi ads that I've done. And I'm speaking in my own voice in my first Hindi film Ghajini. It's in sync-sound, so there was no choice."
With such a hectic 3-language cinematic career when and where does Asin get the chance to be normal?She laughs musically, "I guess I'm pretty normal and grounded. Because of the so-called stardom down South people expect me to behave in a particular way. And they're disappointed when I don't."

Kandaswamy Vikram bowled Over parts of Oman
Kanthaswamy’ starring Vikram and Shriya Saran is being shot in Oman, which is fast emerging a favorite destination for Indian filmmakers.
Directed by Susi Ganesan, the film is being shot in different parts of Oman, including Oman Dive Centre, Al Sawadi, Sohar beach, Qantab, Yacht Club and Omani roads.
Vikram described Oman as one of the most beautiful places he had ever shot in, while Shriya, whose Hindi film ‘Mission Istanbul’ is currently running in theatres in the Sultanate, termed the Gulf country as ‘very pretty.’
“We have now been here for five days and it has been just fantastic”, said Akshay Chowdhary, director of an event management company that brought the film’s producers to Oman.
He added, “We thought the best way to promote Oman was by making it a destination for people and the best way to do that was by tying up with film production houses in India, and other parts of the world, and bring them over here to shoot films”.
“We are in talks with a lot of production houses…. We will gradually invite other units,” he was quoted as saying

Sakthi Chidambaram is making a movie titled Rajathi Raja, which is starred by Lawrance. The stills for the movie have been released recently does not publish it as the stills were so vulgar in nature - to say, it were worse than that of Monica's Silandhi!
Rajathi Raja will have 6 females to opposite Lawrance. This reporter asked Sakthi, why there were six? For this he replied that, "My favourite loving girl is Namitha and she is now very very busy. Sexy Mamata Mohandas Is Going High
Mamata Mohandas has just returned from the US where she was shooting for her next film, the Venkatesh-starrer Chintakayala Ravi.
She has not had a release in a while but with three of her films- Victory, Homam and Chintakayala Ravi - all set to release one after another, we are surely going to see a lot of her over the next couple of months! The actress, it seems, is very happy with the way the films have shaped up. "I am eagerly looking forward to the release of these three films.
I am happy that I got to play three characters that are completely different from each other. I enjoyed playing each character and can't wait to see the audience response," says a jubilant Mamata. That's not all, the singer-turned-actress has also lent her voice for a song each in both Victory and Homam.
The song in Homam especially has got everybody talking. "I play a doctor's character in the film and it's a situational song in the film when the two lead characters express their love for the first time. So it had to be sensual," she laughs. Mamata has not signed any Telugu films for now.
"Presently, I am busy doing a Tamil film with Madhavan and Abbas. I would like to wait for my films to hit the screens before I take on any more Tollywood assignments," she said.

Simbu Nayanthara both pair has patch up mood

Actress Nayanthara Costly 1.5 Crores
The hot bikini babe Nayanthara had signed a deal with Director Lingusamy in an untitled film with actor Karthi as the lead role in the movie. The sources saying that Nayanthara has signed for whopping 1.5Crores which is the most highest ever paid for a South Indian actress. Nayan and ParuthiVeeran Karthi appearing together for the first time in the film which is based on comic and romantic with full of entertainment.
As like the Run and SandaKozhi the film will be a fast thriller. Actress Nayanthara signed the film for 60days after hearing the storyline of the Lingusamy’s project. Trisha walked the ramp at the Chennai based designer Sidney S S- Spring Summer 2008- “All the World’s a Stage”.
“It was a great experience, after nearly seven years I’m walking the ramp but I ‘m not used to walking with stilettos. I think acting in front of the camera is far easier than walking the ramp,” says the actress.
Trisha and her gang did not wait to have dinner at the Taj after the show, as they were almost mobbed by the huge turnout at the function.
So they did the next best thing by going to the Leather Bar at The Park, and celebrating Sidney’s success show!Also walking the ramp were top models like Sheetal Mallar, who flew in specially for the ace designer.
