Endhiran - Starring Rajnikanth in dual roles, Aishwarya Rai is the female lead while Chakravarthy is performing the baddie role. Director Shankar has been striding to complete the film soon and plans are to release it by December.
Kandasamy - Can’t exactly figure out why Vikram is taking whole lot of time in completing each of his films. Kandasamy started rolling before a year and yet uncompleted. Sources have revealed that film would be hitting screens on May 1, 2009. Directed by Susi Ganesh, Shriya Charan stars opposite Vikram in female lead.
Villu - Vijay ’s previous couple of films ‘ATM’ and ‘Kuruvi’ were flops and now the duo combo Prabhu Deva-Vijay is sure about striking gold with ‘Villu’. The promos were released yesterday on all satellite channels and interestingly they’re mindblowing. The film is getting released for Pongal with around 200 prints alone in Tamil Nadu.
ASAL - here goes another duo combo Saran-Ajith Kumar. It was a great triumph with ‘Kadhal Mannan’, ‘Amarkalam’ and ‘Attagasam’. Produced by Sivaji Productions, the combination is anticipated to make a great entertainer. Sameera Reddy pairs up with Ajith Kumar and Harris Jayaraj scores music. The film will start rolling from February end and plans are to release it for Diwali.
Ayan - Getting felicitated with best accolades for ‘Vaaranam Aayiram’, Surya is all set to make it big with K.V. Anand’s ‘Ayan’. K.V. Anand came up with his best debut directorial in ‘Kana Kanden’ and he is sure about making it bigger with Surya. Thamannah is the female lead while Prabhu dons an important character. Harris Jayaraj scores music.
Naan Kadavul - ‘2008 hasn’t been a great year for me as there were none of my release. But I am about this year as Naan Kadavul is set ready for release’ said Aarya during the audio launch of Naan Kadavul yesterday…. Directed by Bala, the film is set at the backdrops of an offbeat theme. With Pooja in female lead, Ilayaraja scores music while plans are to release the film for Pongal.
Sarvam - Followed by grand success of Billa, Vishnuvardhan has taken almost a year to make his next film ‘Sarvam’. Shooting is almost completed and probably Aarya can look out for double cheers this year. Chakravarthy is the baddie over here and Trisha dons female lead and Yuvan Shankar Raja scores music.
Peraanmai - ‘Jeyam’ Ravi who can turn successful without his brother Raja’s combination has better hopes with Director Jananathan’s ‘Peraanmai’. Nevertheless, Hollywood’s super actor Roland Kickinger starring opposite as baddie is something ridiculous. Roland’s forehand is almost the size of Ravi’s face and Just imagine their combination… Ayngaran has produced the film.
Aayirathil Oruvan - A very long time after Pudupettai’s success. Selvaraghavan has completed shooting 99% of the film. Paruthiveeran fame Karthi, Reema Sen, Andrea and Parthiban don important roles in the film. According to the sources, it’s an adventure/fantasy/drama where the story travels from 13th century to this year. G.V. Prakash has scored music and V. Ravindran of Media Valley Entertainment has produced this film.
Ashokavanam - Despites being dubbed ‘Guru’ made great collections here in Tamil Nadu. Ace filmmaker Mani Rathnam is set making bilingual film ‘Ashokavanam’ and ‘Raavana’ in Hindi and Tamil. The Tamil version has Vikram and Aishwarya in lead roles with Prithviraj appearing in negative shades while Prabhu and Karthik have vital roles to play. The Hindi version has Abhishek Bachchan and Aishwarya Rai in female lead and Vikram donning baddie role. A.R. Rahman scores music for the versions while Anil Dirubhai Ambani produces the film.
Chennaiyil Oru Mazhaikalam - Gowtham Menon utters, ‘It may not be so powerful as Vaaranam Aayiram, but it’s a movie that has an interesting theme’. The film deals with group of youngsters working in call centres for night shifts and problems faced by them. Debutant Suresh along with Gowtham assistants’ (most of them are those who played Surya’s friend in Vaaranam Aayiram) dons lead role along with Trisha.

Prabhu Deva five dance Worked In Vijay’s Villu
Villu, Prabhu Deva’s next directorial venture (with Vijay and Nayantara paired together for the first time) is readying for release on January 12th. Meantime, Prabhu Deva, who spoke to a select gathering of the media, revealed a little bit about what Vijay fans can expect from the film.
Music director Devi Sri Prasad being the music composer and Prabhu Deva being one of the lyrics writers (albeit unknowingly), Villu is all about non-stop entertainment. The first half is full of fun and frolic, with Vadivelu and Vijay raising a lot of belly laughs; the second half is very racy and styled along the lines of a James Bond film.
Prabhu Deva said five dance choreographers who had been his students have worked on the film, so audiences can expect quite a storm onscreen! At the same meet, Vijay stated he wished to watch the film in a regular theatre surrounded by his fans and that care has been taken to give audiences, especially his fans, the maximum entertainment that can be loaded into two and a half hours.Pokkiri, which was Prabhu Deva’s directorial debut in Tamil, starred Vijay and Asin. The Prabhu Deva-Vijay team is considered lucky ever since Pokkiri became a mega-hit running for over 150 days in Tamil Nadu and elsewhere.

Actress Pooja pulled out of ’Mala Malai’ in which she was supposed to star opposite Arun Vijay. Now donning the role is actress Vedhika. She rocked the screens in ’Muni’, Silambarasan’s ’Kaalai’ and with Shanthanoo in ’Sakkarakatti’.

Suriya’s performance in Next Movie Ayan will be an even bigger landmark in his career
Suriya’s performance in Varanam Aayiram has been praised widely in the media. From newspaper critics to fans on the Internet, Suriya has been singled out as a versatile star. His next project, Ayan, is being awaited eagerly. It’s director K.V. Anand told us that Suriya’s performance in Ayan will be an even bigger landmark in his career.
Ayan’s plot is set largely in what is called Old Madras or North Chennai. It is about a young man from there. Now when you hear North Chennai you think of violence, but the director assures us that the movie will not be just about fights and stunts.
Together with scriptwriter Suba, they have worked on each scene to make sure there is logic. The story will revolve around the joys and sorrows of this young man played by Suriya. Currently I am directing the Dilip starrer Body Guard. The shooting of this film will commence next month. This film will be released on March. After this I will be directing Vijay. Arya has signed a new film titled Matharasapatnam
Arya has signed a new film, after nearly 18 months!
He is playing the protagonist in director Vijay’s ( Kireedam, Poi Solla Porom) new period film titled Matharasapatnam.
The film is being produced by Kalpathi.S .Agoram, the producer of super hit Santosh Subramaniyam. It is set in the old Madras of the 40’s when the British ruled India.
Senthil Kumar the art director of the film is trying to recreate the Madras of the 40’s with trams on Mount Road, the old Central station, Moore Market, Globe Theatre etc.
It is said to be a love story set against the British Raj, with Arya playing the role of a local boy who falls for the daughter of a wealthy British man.
Vijay has roped in the A-list of technicians for the film, like camera will be handled by Nirav Shah and music by G.V Prakash. He is also trying to get a Hollywood actress to play the role of the British woman who falls for Arya. The Lagaan villain has also been approached to play the villain in the film.
The shoot of Matharasapatnam is likely to start in December.

Actress Trisha's Next movie like a James Bond film
Vishal’s film which is to be directed by Selvaraghavan, will go to floors during March. Featuring Trisha alongside Vishal, the movie is touted to be an action-thriller. Sources say it would be more like a James Bond film and would be shot in over seven countries.
Selvaraghavan, who is known for films with human emotions, will broach on action this time around. Incidentally, this is the first time Vishal and Trisha would pair up.
Currently, Selvaraghavan is busy completing the final portions of ’Aayirathil Oruvan’ starring Karthi, Reema Sen and Andrea. The film is expected to be released for Pongal.
Vishal will also act in a movie titled ’Thoranai’ alongside Shreya and the film is to be directed by debutant Ayappan, later next year.

Actor Jai Hospital for Accident at Shooting Spot
Actor Jai who appeared for the first time in Vijay’s “Bhagavathi” movie then appeared in the screen after a longtime in Chennai 600028 movie. After his impressive performance in “Subramaniapuram” he is flooded with offers and almost four movies with his hands which include Adhe Neram Adhe Idam and Aval Peyar Thamizharasi.
Actor Jai had been busy in filming the movie “Adhe Neram Adhe Idam” for a stunt sequence which was choreographed under the supervision of Super Subbarayan’s son Dilip. Unluckily the actor met with an accident during the sets while filming the stunt sequence and suffered fracture in his leg. Soon he was taken to private hospital he was given treatment by the doctors.

Vijay to get a right pair for him!
Our Vambhu hero Sibhu suffers many a times not able to get a right pair for him for his never to be released movies, and the reason is his Vambhu, but why do Vijay not able to get a pair for him?
AVM is producing a movie under the title Vettaikaaran, having Vijay in the lead role. The agreement for this movie was signed long time before. Initially the movie was titled as Murattu KaaLai, but now it will have the title of MGR's super hit.
Asin is doing all posible tricks to re-enter Kollywood through this movie. Iliaana has appointed a manager exclusively to finish this deal. Even though there is hectic competition among girls, here seems to have araised a resonance effect and Vijay is not able to finalize his pair.

Akshay Kumar and Katrina Kaif have been signed on by Venus Films for their forthcoming venture De Dana Dhan after three hits together in Namastey London, Welcome and Singh Is Kinng. The film will also star Suneil Shetty, Paresh Rawal, Neha Dhupia and Sameera Reddy. The film will be directed by Priyadarshan and will be shot in Singapore.
The frequent pairing and good onscreen chemistry between Akshay and Katrina has worked wonders at the box office. Yet rumours were rife that the hot couple would not be seen together on screen again. However to put rumours to rest, Akshay and Katrina have already signed producer-director Vipul Shah’s London Dreams.
During the music launch of Singh Is Kinng, Akshay was asked about his onscreen chemistry with Katrina. He said, “We have given so many hits together, so why shouldn’t we work together again?” Katrina added, “We share a bond. Akshay’s been a great friend. Shah Rukh Khan was in Amritsar for Golden Temple
Shah Rukh Khan was in Amritsar for the shooting of the film Rab Ne Bana Di Jodi. SRK along with newcomer Anushka Sharma, took out time from work on Tuesday to visit the Golden Temple.
