Suriya’s performance in Varanam Aayiram has been praised widely in the media. From newspaper critics to fans on the Internet, Suriya has been singled out as a versatile star. His next project, Ayan, is being awaited eagerly. It’s director K.V. Anand told us that Suriya’s performance in Ayan will be an even bigger landmark in his career.
Ayan’s plot is set largely in what is called Old Madras or North Chennai. It is about a young man from there. Now when you hear North Chennai you think of violence, but the director assures us that the movie will not be just about fights and stunts.
Together with scriptwriter Suba, they have worked on each scene to make sure there is logic. The story will revolve around the joys and sorrows of this young man played by Suriya. There is a fabulous duet set in Africa, and a breathtaking fight scene in Tanzania. Anand further says that what Nayagan was for Kamal, Ayan will be for Suriya!

New Battle in Kollywood that Kalanidhi Maran
It’s battle time in Kollywood that Kalanidhi Maran going to release his Sun Pictures new Jeeva film “Thenavattu” on the same day as Cloud Nine Dayanidhi Alagiri releasing Suriya’s “Vaaranam Aayriam” movie. Already Sun Network started their advertising campaign on their television. Meanwhile on the other hand “Vaaranam Aayiram” one of the most expecting movies of the year is ready for release. The sun pictures faced some problems in Madurai for releasing the movie “Kadhalil Vizhundhen”.
Sun pictures are confident that the director had made some good inputs for the movies success. Suriya, Harris Jeyaraj and Director Gautham Menon successful combo for the movie “Vaaranam Aayiram” giving additional advantage for the movies expectation. The real Diwali is going to come again on November 14th as the two films clash each other.
